William D. Gatewood, 91, of Memphis, TN passed away on May 16, 2023.

William enjoyed hunting, fishing, and doing puzzles.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Betty L. Gatewood and his siblings Geneva Shoffner, George B. Gatewood, Dorothy Capshaw, Marylou Capshaw, Joseph Gatewood, George Booker Gatewood Jr., Imogen Rodgers, and his two grandsons Jonathan Leamon and Caleb Dowdy.

Mr. Gatewood is survived by his children Karen Leamon (Charles), Chuck Gatewood (Cathy), Harold Gatewood, Bill Gatewood, and Teresa Thomley (Paul), as well as his grandchildren: Rachael Leamon, Marsha Brewer, Rena Wilson, Maisie Dowdy, Ashley Gatewood, Brandon Gatewood, Christopher Thomley, Travis Thomley, and Kimberly Thomley and his great grandchildren, Jeremy and Adam Robledo, Jaxon Gatewood, Camryn, Marshall and Bryson Thomley, Danny Brewer, and Solana Wilson.
