Mr. William Henry Gill, 71, departed this life on Friday, August 30, 2018.    He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 38 years, Mattie; his three sons, Anthony (Andrea) Taylor, of Little Rock, AR.; Leroy Taylor; Glen (Brenda) Taylor of Memphis, TN; four grandchildren, Ashleigh Taylor, Toni Taylor, Kandi McFadden, and Ceterra Buford; two great grandsons, Jordan and Jaxson Tyree, three nieces , Lily and Mary and Gill of Jackson, TN, and Marilyn Jean of Detroit, MI; three nephews Richard and George Gill of Jackson, TN, and James Gill of IL; two very special nieces , Kimberly and Arielle Bryant ; a very special friend Wade Cashaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillie  Gill; and his brothers, Charles, Rex, George, Bobby, and James Gill.  When he was 17 he moved to Saginaw, MI and eventually started a career at General Motors, where he retired in 1998.  Shortly after, he moved to Memphis, TN to enjoy his retirement.   Family and friends will gather to share memories, 5-7 pm, Wednesday, September 12, at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park-Midtown. Celebration of his life will be held at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church on Thursday at 11:00 am.
