WILLIAM S. HEATH, 78, of Covington TN, formerly of Memphis, went home to be with the Lord October 18, 2012 at Methodist North Hospital after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his family and passed peacefully at 1:15 p.m. He was born on November 12, 1933 in Tipton County, and was a retired business owner of River City Supply Co. Inc., and Northgate Lanes in Frayser. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Covington, and a former member of Georgian Hills Baptist Church in Memphis. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Fay Mauldin Heath, daughter Nita Heath Banks of Memphis, Gary Heath (Tina) of Killen, AL, Tony Heath (Scharrie) of Drummonds, TN, and Jeff Heath (Angie) of Bartlett, TN, as well as 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Winford Heath and Shelton Heath, both of Memphis. He was the middle of 16 children born to David Charles Heath and Virgie Glidewell Heath, both of Tipton County, TN. He was preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Temple, and great-grandson William Temple, both of Memphis. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, at Forest Hills East Funeral Home on Whitten Rd., and the funeral service will be Monday, October 22, at 2 p.m., at Forest Hills East. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery on Germantown Rd. The family requests memorials be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church in Covington, TN
