William Albert Hollingsworth, 91, of Oakland, Mississippi peacefully passed away on April 25, 2026.

William was born January 19, 1935 to the late Albert and Seta in Enid, Mississippi. Growing up, he gained a passion for being a mechanic. He learned to fix on any and everything. He enjoyed driving trucks and later began to love riding on go-carts, playing and watching golf. William was a very ambitious and intelligent work-a-holic. He moved at his own pace. However, he found the greatest joy in being the caring and loving son, brother, husband, and father.

William was preceded in passing by his beloved wife of 59 years, Beverly Jo Hollingsworth; three sisters, Mary Shipley, Jewel Phillips, and Verna Lane; and one brother, David Hollingsworth.

He is survived by one daughter, Terry (Dock) Collins; and two sons, Wayne (Betty) Hollingsworth, and David (Cherri) Hollingsworth; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

William will be greatly missed and his love will be carried on through us.
