William Murray Hunt, age 91, of Southaven, MS, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Nathaniel Hunt and Rachel Blevens Hunt; brothers, James Hunt, Harold Lee Hunt, Allen Hunt, Robert Earl Hunt; and son, Steven Lawrence Hunt.  He is survived by his loving wife, Louise Calvi Hunt; his sister, Mattie Sue Massey; his son, William Murray Hunt, Jr.; his daughter, Barbara Hunt Acree; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.  Bill was born on December 1, 1927, in Senatobia, MS.  During his life, Bill (or as he was best known, "Pop"), volunteered for the U.S. Navy, worked as a mechanic at Ford Motor Company for ten years, and then worked at International Harvester until his retirement, after 30 years of service.  He also served as a volunteer fireman, a golf pro, and a handy man along the way.  As evidenced by his history, he was a man of many talents.  The funeral will take place at the Minor Memorial United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., with graveside service to follow at Forest Hill South Cemetery, located at 2545 East Holmes Road, Memphis, TN 38118. The family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital, or flowers are also appreciated.
