William Partee Land, Jr., 90, passed away, Monday, May 7, 2018.   Services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, May 11, 2018 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park-South, 2545 E. Holmes Road, Memphis, TN.  Interment will follow at Forest Hill South in the Masonic Section.  Visitation will be 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Forest Hill South.   He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Marie R. Land, his father William Partee Land, Sr, and his mother, Bamera Marlar Land.   He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Batesville; a Mason and was retired from Texas Gas Transmission Company.  He was an avid sportsman and along with his wife enjoyed hunting in both North America and Africa.   He leaves two daughters, Deberah Calvery of Senatobia; Rebecca Gilbert of Horn Lake, one son, Edward Land of Batesville; two granddaughters, Jessica Hardy, of MS; Christy Youngblood of Horn Lake; six grandsons, Jeff Land, Lance Land and Derrick Land of Mobile, AL; William Wright of Oklahoma; Michael Griffin of Southaven and Jimmy Calvery of Senatobia; five great grandchildren and one sister, Joyce Nolen of Memphis.    Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park-South   (901)346-3250
