William "Brent" Mashburn, 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022, after a long struggle with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Barbara; his dear sons, Logan and Braxton; his daughter-in-law, Mia; his grandsons, Liam and Troy; and his granddaughter, Elizabeth. All of whom he loved dearly. He graduated from Harding Academy of Memphis and attended both the University of Tennessee at Martin and the University of Memphis. He delighted in being a founder and part owner of The Midtown restaurant in Cooper-Young in the 90s. Brent made many wonderful memories enjoying activities with family and friends on Pickwick Lake as well as hunting waterfowl with his father, sons, and friends. He supported the City of Memphis as a Codes Enforcement Investigator and was a strong advocate for making Memphis a better place to live for its citizens. A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 1st in the Chapel at Bellevue Baptist with Dr. Joe Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mid-America Seminary or Love Worth Finding.
