William Russell Qualls, 83, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett, TN. William served his country in the Tennessee National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lavanda Jean QuallsÍ two daughters, Rosa Maria Evans (Steve) and Lisa Diane Griffin (Thomas)Í two brothers, James Qualls (Mary) and David Qualls (Fronie)Í three sisters, Betty Tubbs, Hazel Junkin, and Darlene Mauldin (Terry)Í four grandchildren, Benjamin Ray Evans, Andrea Kathleen Evans, Michael Griffin, and Gregory Parker Griffin; and six great grandchildren, Taylor, Colton, Collier, Joey, Howie and Alex. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Carlton. He was a member of the First Assembly of God. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Orphanos in support of Missionary Andrea Gehrett. Family and friends will gather to share memories, 5-7 p.m., Tuesday with services 10 a.m., Wednesday. Both will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home east location on Whitten Road.
