William Louis Sayle, Jr, of Memphis, TN, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025 at the age of 90. He was born on February 22, 1935 in Memphis, TN to William Louis Sayle, Sr and Margaret Lee Milton. He resided at Kirby Pines Retirement Community.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many and a dedicated follower of our Lord Jesus, Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bill Sayle was born and raised in Memphis and a proud graduate of Messick High School before furthering his education at Memphis State University. He would go on to work for Chrysler Parts Distribution Center as a logistics specialist for many years.

Bill loved to play team sports, especially football and baseball as a younger man, and successfully coached countless young Memphians in amateur baseball at every level through high school when his own playing days were over. He also had an ear for music and loved movies, but his greatest passion lay in his faith and love for Jesus, his family, his church, and his many friends at Kirby Pines Community.

Bill was a fiercely loyal, gregarious, and compassionate friend to many and he found genuine joy in encouraging others. He understood it was better to give than to receive and gave sacrificially to others.

Bill is survived by his wife, Ellen Louise Foster Sayle, his two sons, Brian and Craig Sayle, his seven grandchildren, Davis Sayle, Harrison Sayle, Walker Sayle, Gretchen Sayle Wright, Mackenzie Sayle, Garrett Sayle, and Mischa Sayle, as well as his four great-grandchildren, Marie Sayle, Cooper Sayle, Sayler Wright and Michaela Sayle.

The memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Kirby Pines Estates Performing Arts Center 3535 Kirby Parkway, Memphis TN. 38115. Visitation begins at 12:00 PM April 14, 2025 at Kirby Pines Estates.
