William Michael Shemwell, Jr., 35, of Bartlett, TN passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents: George and Jean Shemwell, Calvin Jones, and Herb Ballentine; aunt, Teresa Jenne`; uncle, George W. Shemwell, Jr.; and cousin, Garrett Graves. He is survived by his father, William Michael Shemwell, Sr. (Sharon); mother, Rhonda Jones; grandmother, Patsy Ballentine; siblings: Amanda Donahoe (Brian), Mallory Box (Lance), David Reap (Amber), and Taylor Bateman (Travis); nephews: Dylan Donahoe and Rhett Box; nieces: Rylee Donahoe and Avery Box; and a large extended family. Michael was a fun loving guy with a sense of humor that always had everyone laughing. He also had a very big heart and put others ahead of himself. He will be loved and missed greatly by his family and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East on Whitten Road. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Salvation Army Rehabilitation Center at 2649 Kirby Whitten Road, Memphis, TN 38133 or Jimmie Hale Mission in Birmingham, AL.
