Oakland - William Arthur Street, 64, of Oakland, TN died peacefully at his home after battling a long illness. He was a retired Lieutenant of the Shelby County Fire Dept. "Art" was a faithful member of Oakland Church of Christ. He leaves his wife of 43 years, Joyce Melana Street; two sons, Shad Street, of Atlanta; Shaine Street of Nashville and a daughter, Shelli Street Sewell of Arlington; and ten grandchildren. He served his country in the US Navy. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Paragould Children''s Home or The American Veterans. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m., Monday, followed by services at 2 p.m., both at Forest Hill East Funeral Home.
