Obituary

William Henry Veteto, 84, born October 11, 1931, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 11, 2016. William lived a life of service to others, loved to tell stories and visit with friends and family. Played softball for many years with players he considered family. He was an active member of Audubon Park Baptist Church, serving as a deacon. Served in the US Navy, and retired from the US postal service. William was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Inez Veteto, and nephew Steve Holcombe. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Frances Gann Veteto, married 61 years, his three children, Terri Veteto Watts, Jeanne (Tommy) Crocker, and William (Jeanne) Veteto, eight grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, and Kevin Watts, Caleb (Celina), Erin, and Sam Crocker, and Lucas and Katie Veteto, and one great-grandchild, Hunter Crocker, and also Bill''s sisters, Kathleen Power, Norma Jean Veteto, Marilyn Bigley, and brother Robert Veteto. Visitation will be at Forest Hill South from 12:30 to 2:00 pm, Monday March 14, 2016, with funeral service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Audobon Park Baptist Church.
