Willie H. Carpenter, 83, of Byhalia, MS passed away Saturday May 14, 2016. Willie was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Betty B. Carpenter. He is survived by his son, Willie H. Carpenter, Jr.(Deniece); son, Kenneth W. Carpenter; son, David L. Carpenter; daughter, Diana L. Blair (David); daughter, Patricia A. Farley (Dexter); son, Curtis C. Carpenter (Janis); daughter, Sandra Putz (Don); 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two sisters; Peggy Loft and Suzie Spiers. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday May 18, 2016 with a funeral service Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. All services and interment will be held at Forest Hill South on Holmes Road. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
