Willie Joe Childers passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012. He was a veteran of the US Army during World War II and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He''s survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Evelyn Childers; one son Billy Childers of California and one step son, Larry Newby of Byhalia, MS; two grandchildren, Keith Newby and Jodi Van Wagner and 6 great grandchildren, Taylor, Bryant, Kyra, Cynthia, Alisa and Tyler. Visitation at 1pm and funeral service at 2pm on Friday, July 6, at Forest Hill South, 2545 E. Holmes Rd., Memphis, TN.
