Willie "Jean" Furniss, 90 of Memphis, passed away March 19, 2022.

Jean was a longtime member of Munford Baptist Church, and more recently a member of Easthill Baptist Church in Bartlett. She owned and operated her own business, Jean's Beauty Shop, for more than 30 years.

She is survived by four daughters, Kathy Pyle, Maureen Flake (Billy), Deborah Birdsong (Tony), and Rebecca Davis (Mike); one son, Jerry Steven Williams (Ronetida); 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bready Furniss; one son, Jay Alan Williams; one grandson, Brent Williams; her parents, George and Nannie Black; her sister, Maxine Smith; and her brother, Warren Black, Sr.

Jean loved to travel and she loved meeting new people, you can imagine how many she met through her travels to all 50 states. She was a crocheter and enjoyed making things for her family. She also loved to cook, her family gathered for many meals together.
