Willie Mae Gray Ross was born Feb 28, 1931 in Luxahoma MS, a few miles east of Senatobia. Her parents were Will and Dura Gray. She passed away Feb 27, 2025, 93 years of age, at her Storypoint home in Collierville, Tn. She loved the Lord Jesus, studied his word daily and shared his word with many others. She sang in the Bellevue Baptist Church choir for 30 years. Mama was a devout home maker, shared her home with many family members needing a temporary home until they could afford a home of their own.  At age 35 she decided to work outside the home and began working in the Sears credit department where she later retired. Her special holiday meals were legendary. The entire family and guests would enjoy their favorite foods made from scratch with plenty of butter and "love" at Meme's house. She loved working in her yard and tending her beautiful flowers. Her family was truly blessed to have such a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. Her love was unconditional, anything she had was yours. All you had to do was ask.

She leaves behind her son Larry Ross(Nancy), daughter Linda Hodges, daughter in law Linda Ross, two sisters Bessie Hunt and Rachel Scott, eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents Will and Dura Gray, husband Norris J (Shorty) Ross,  son Norris P (Buddy) Ross, brothers Dennis Gray, Thurmond Gray, Will Gray Jr. and sisters Viola Brewer, Francis Daniel and Etol Steward.
