Wilma J. Smith 71, of Memphis, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Methodist University Hospital. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 Saturday morning at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with a private graveside service to follow. She was born on March 18, 1941 in Shelby County, TN. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Augusta Stroud, and a brother, J. D. Stroud. She leaves her husband of 51 years, Phillip T. Smith, Sr.; two sons, Phillip T. Smith, Jr., and Jeffery K. Smith, both of Memphis; four brothers, Robert Stroud, Marion Stroud, Billy Stroud, all of Shelby County, TN, and Jerry Stroud, of St. Charles, MO; three sisters, Maggie Whitehorn, Carolyn Shoffner, both of Shelby County, TN, and Jo Ann King, of Tipton County, TN; and two grandsons, Joshua K. Smith and Eric Farrell Smith.
