Yvonne Brasfield Ward, 88 of Southaven, MS, passed away peacefully at her home on March 23, 2024.  Born to Harry & Eva Brasfield, she was raised in Memphis, Tn.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Ward.  Johnny and Yvonne built an amazing life together, having three children.

Preceded in death by son, Richard G. Ward (Marsh) and parents Harry and Eva Brasfield.

She is survived by her son, Gary M. Ward. of Southaven, MS, and her daughter, Jill R. Ward, of Southaven, MS., niece, Joy McClure Johnson, of Moscow, TN, and two sisters, Mary Canaday, of Moscow, TN, and Vickie Simonton, of Germantown, TN,  four grand-children Melanie Brady (Lee), of Matthew, NC, Heather J. Ward, of Germantown, TN, John D. Ward (Jamie), of Southaven, MS, and Joshua M. Ward (Melissa) of Hernando, MS, five great-grandchildren, Eli, Nadia, Reed, Conner, and Noah, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the essence of unconditional love and encouragement. We thank God for the remarkable life of Yvonne Brasfield Ward.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Forrest Hill Funeral Home Midtown, 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd,  Memphis TN.

Memorial Donations can also be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The West Cancer Center.
