Zachary Ryen Powell, 26, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home in Kossuth, MS. He was born on January 23, 1990 in Memphis, TN. He was the son of Richard (Revelle) and Penny Powell. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also loved everything about the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers. He was described by everyone as the most hard working, humble gentleman with a heart of gold. He graduated from Horn Lake High School in 2008. He attended Northwest Mississippi Community college for the next two years. He found home working at United Stainless in Selmer, TN and absolutely loved his job and co-workers. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents RJ and Opal Spencer; his great uncle Bill Burrows; his grandparents Bill Powell, Barbara Ann Adams, and Maurice Shaw; and his aunt Renee Lewis. He is survived by his two parents Richard (Revelle) and Penny Powell; his brother, Dexter Powell; and his uncles Richie Shaw (Crystal), Nickey Shaw (Amy) and Mikie Shaw. He is also survived by his grandfather Drennon Adams and grandmother Linda Shaw. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, December 12 at Forest Hill South with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
